He was <br />promoted to Regional Manager overseeing the Raleigh/Durham region and <br />coastal eastern NC. Most recently Gerry was promoted to Regional <br />Director, adding the Winston-Salem / Greensboro, and Charlotte regions to <br />his management scope. <br /> <br />With over 26 years of experience in the security management / loss <br />prevention industry, Gerry is very knowledgeable about all phases of contract security, from <br />program design and implementation to training and managing a team that is focused on loss <br />reduction and safety improvement. Highly customer service oriented, Gerry works closely with <br />clients to understand their needs and ensure that the Sunstates team is delivering a program <br />that fulfills their requirements and service expectations. In addition to hi s experience working <br />with both large and small contract security companies, Gerry also has a background as a private <br />business owner, inventing, patenting, marketing and selling a new fire protection / suppression <br />agent. Prior to joining the private security industry, Gerry had a distinguished career in law <br />enforcement, serving in numerous supervisory and special operations positions, with a focus on <br />internal affairs, narcotics interdiction and fraud investigation. He is a North Carolina Private <br />Protective Services Board licensed Private Investigator and Certified Armed and Unarmed <br />trainer, as well as a certified concealed handgun carry instructor. <br /> <br />Elizabeth Watson <br />Senior Operations Manager <br /> <br />A member of the Sunstates Security team since 2017, Liz initially joined the company as a <br />Regional Support Manager for the Raleigh region. After excelling in that <br />position, Liz was promoted to Operations/Account Manager, managing a <br />portfolio of over $2.5M annually and a team of 80+ employees. In 2022 <br />she was promoted to National Account Manager for prominent client, <br />and in 2023 assumed her current position of Senior Operations Manager. <br />A proven manager and team player, Liz has a wide range of experience in <br />inclusion and diversity, mediation, coaching, training, recruiting, hiring, <br />onboarding, as well as process development and documentation.
