In Service Training <br />SOLO (SUNSTATES OFFICERS LEARNING ONLINE). <br />Above and beyond the state-mandated training requirements, we require every officer to <br />complete Sunstates Officers Learning Online (SOLO), a 12-module internet-based training <br />course, within the first 90 days of employment. SOLO modules cover the following topics: <br /> <br />■ Basic Law for Security Officers <br />■ The Security Officer and Law Enforcement <br />■ Basic Procedures for Court Appearances <br />■ Crime and the Security Officer <br />■ Property Protection and Patrol <br />■ Collecting & Reporting Information <br />■ Fire Prevention & Control <br />■ Controlling Flow of Traffic (vehicular and pedestrian) <br />■ Special Problems for the Security Officer <br />■ Weapons and Self Defense <br />■ Leadership <br />■ Terrorism Awareness <br />■ Recognition of suspicious persons <br />■ Recognition of dangerous devices <br /> <br />Officers are provided a username and password to access the SOLO courses through <br />www.SunstatesSecurity.com. Officers can complete this training from home or, with the <br />client’s permission, from work. Officers complete the modules in a designated order and must <br />pass a quiz on each module with a score of 100% to continue on to the next module. Once all <br />12-modules are complete, officers must pass the final exam with a score of 100%. <br /> <br />D. Ongoing Training <br />Our trainers are always at work developing compelling content for ongoing training. Whether <br />the topic of the training seminar is one of general interest for officers throughout the region, or <br />site-specific material developed at a client’s request, our trainers keep the subject matter fresh, <br />relevant, and engaging to the officers.
