Our goal is to engage with Orange County residents of
all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds. Museum
staff work with various members of the community and community groups to
determine what content should be presented and how to promote shared
authority in the museum. The presentation and content of exhibits are designed
to appeal to a wide audience, with various interactive elements geared toward
visitors of all ages. Our goal is for all visitors to be able to relate to and engage
with the stories and themes presented in the exhibits.
To promote lifelong learning, a variety of educational opportunities will be offered,
both for adult learners and for pre-K-12 students. The Museum has and will
continue to work with Orange County Public Schools, charter schools,
homeschool groups, and others to design and facilitate field trips that align with
the school curriculum. Our dedicated Kids’ Space allows children to interact with
history in an accessible and fun way through play. Monthly Museum programs
will provide further learning opportunities for the public, through which the
museum will strive to promote diversity and lifelong learning.
Docusign Envelope ID: 711B0470-AB31-4239-BFAB-654356E2FD21
