<br /> <br />Orange County WCS KCI Proposal <br />31 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Bethany Jewell Gray will serve as the Project Director and is <br />based in KCI’s North Carolina satellite office in Boone, NC. She <br />has served as Project Director on waste and recycling <br />composition studies for clients across the nation. Her strong <br />organizational, analytical, and technical writing skills have <br />assisted project managers in completing customized sorts <br />designed to meet the clients’ specific objectives of data <br />collection that were completed on time and within budget. <br />Bethany has assisted numerous clients in implementing <br />innovative waste diversion strategies in recycling, composting, <br />and upstream and downstream circularity. Additionally, her <br />work in public-private partnerships is on the leading edge of <br />best practices necessary for successful win-win scenarios in a <br />fluctuating market. <br />Bethany has worked on the following projects with KCI: <br />✓ Waste Composition Study, Manatee County, FL <br />Bethany serves as Project Director on this multi-season sort <br />designed to assist the county in understanding the material <br />composition and generator sectors for disposal in the <br />county’s facility. Key objectives will be to utilize the data to <br />define measurable strategies for waste reduction that will <br />extend landfill life. This study was designed to meet the <br />material categories of a prior, similar KCI led study to <br />analyze changes in material streams in the county. <br />✓ Solid Waste Reduction Master Plan, Elon University, NC <br />Bethany served as the primary author of this <br />comprehensive waste reduction plan that provided policy, <br />program, and operational recommendations to assist the <br />university in reaching its sustainability and waste reduction <br />goals.
