Orange County, North Carolina <br />Proposal - Waste Characterization Study <br /> <br /> Orange County WCS KCI Proposal <br />28 <br />success of numerous stakeholder engagements. Bethany is based in KCI’s North Carolina satellite office. <br />She has managed and directed multiple composition studies with the KCI Team proposed for this <br />project, completing them all on time and within budget. <br />Ryan Graunke, Project Manager, heads KCI’s recycling and waste characterization studies and field <br />work. In the past eight years he has overseen more than 60 composition studies and 75 sorting events <br />for KCI. He also specializes in organic waste recovery strategies, rate studies, cost of service analyses, <br />and feasibility studies. Ryan was actively involved in both the 2016/2019 WCS and the 2019 RCS for <br />Orange County. <br />Domanic Miele, Consultant and Sorting Specialist, joined KCI with a focus on composition studies and <br />financial analysis projects. He has served as Field Manager on multiple composition and <br />characterization studies across the nation, ranging from Charleston, SC to New Orleans, LA to Napa, CA. <br />With strength in data analysis and communications, his leadership has proven invaluable in recent <br />characterization studies. <br />Robin Mitchell, Technical Advisor, has over 36 years of solid waste industry experience and served as <br />project manager on previous projects, bringing in-depth insight to the project team on previous <br />characterization studies and resulting recommendations. She specializes in strategic planning, Zero <br />Waste strategies, and recycling/waste reduction program development and implementation. <br />Because characterization studies are such a significant part of the work KCI does, we have two full teams <br />of fieldwork staff ready to mobilize. This includes four staff members who are experienced at fulfilling <br />the role of Sort Supervisor.
