<br />Orange County WCS KCI Proposal <br />16 <br /> <br />Qualifications <br />KCI is a niche firm focusing solely on strategic solid waste management planning and implementation. <br />Throughout our 36-year history, KCI has earned a reputation for providing high-quality, value-added <br />services to our clients, most of which are local governments. Our areas of expertise include waste and <br />recycling generation and characterization studies, strategic planning, system optimization, operational <br />and financial analyses, recycling and composting program development, contract negotiations and <br />procurements, ordinance development, regulatory compliance, and other related services. Our work <br />encompasses everything from feasibility studies to full-scale implementation. <br />Characterization studies, such as that being sought by the County, have been an integral part of our <br />work since our inception. We have performed waste and recyclables characterization, generation, and <br />capture studies that provide the information necessary for effective program planning and to maximize <br />waste diversion programs.
