Orange County Arts Commission 2024-25 Annual Grant Recipients <br /> 25 The Board acknowledges local artists and organizations receiving 2024-25 Orange County Arts <br /> 26 Grants. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 BACKGROUND: <br /> 29 Orange County Annual Grants Cycle <br /> 30 The Orange County Arts Commission (OCAC) administers two (2) primary grant programs each <br /> 31 year. The Grassroots Arts Program utilizes state funding to provide support for nonprofit <br /> 32 organizations and schools conducting arts programming. The Artist Project Grant utilizes county <br /> 33 funding for artist-led community projects. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 A total of $29,711 from the Outside Agencies Program was allocated to the OCAC's annual <br /> 36 Grassroots Arts Program to ensure arts agencies were applying for funding through a program <br /> 37 specific to the arts following the best practices set forth by the North Carolina Arts Council. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Statistics regarding this year's grant cycle are noted in the chart below. <br /> 40 <br /> FUNDING SOURCES <br /> NC Arts Council Funding: Grassroots Arts Program $ 47,140 <br /> Orange County Funding: Artist Support Grants $ 28,800 <br /> Orange County Funding: Outside Agencies $ 29,711 <br /> OCAC Programs Budget $ 265.32 <br /> Returned FY 2023-24 grant funds $ 200 <br /> TOTAL AVAILABLE FUNDING $106,116.32 <br /> Total dollar amount requests $225,891.32 <br /> Total grants awarded 33, or 51% of applications <br />
