Position Description <br /> • Detention corporals provide intake and <br /> release support, primarily perform booking- <br /> related duties, provide work direction and <br /> support to Detention Officers, and complete <br /> other duties as assigned. Serves specifically <br /> 36 32 Detention as Supervisor in sergeant's absence. <br /> Officers • Detention Officers are line-level certified <br /> specialists responsible for detainee <br /> 2 Trainees movement, housing, management, <br /> supervision, escort and other support <br /> services. DOs provide support from the <br /> intake to release process, perform regular <br /> detainee interface, serve meals, perform <br /> regular housing rounds, staff the Watch <br /> Tower to control facility doors/cells/inmate <br /> movement, perform facility janitorial service <br /> in common areas, and other duties as <br /> assigned. <br /> • DOs work a 12-hour shift schedule, 5am- <br /> 5pm, and 5pm-5am on a 4-team deployment <br /> approach. <br /> Detention 1 1 Maintenance • Assigned detainee laundry duties and <br /> Services Technician responsibilities including linen retrieval, <br /> (Laundry) washing, and return. Performs janitorial <br /> duties to include managing supplies for <br /> detainee cleaning of personal cells. <br /> Performs other duties, as assigned. <br /> • Position works Monday — Friday from 8am <br /> to 5 pm. and is currently filled by individual <br /> certified as a detention officer. <br /> Detention 1 1 Administrative • Assigned to the Detention Center public <br /> Services Assistant lobby to answer telephones, manage <br /> (Reception) attorney and social worker traffic, responds <br /> to lobby inquires, supports transportation as <br /> necessary, and performs other duties, as <br /> assigned. <br /> • Position works Monday — Friday from 8am <br /> to 5 pm. and is currently filled by light duty <br /> detention officer. <br /> Transportation 1 1 Corporal (IDS • A Deputy Sheriff II (Corporal) is assigned <br /> ll) oversight of intra/inter-county transportation <br /> duties and responsibilities.
