~0 <br />• Coordinates special events to encourage volunteerism and adoptions. <br />• Supervises the front desk operations, <br />• Responds to customer inquiries and complaints. <br />Health Care Technician* <br />• Examines animals at intake and records health status and potential health <br />problems, <br />• Reviews health status of animals daily. <br />• Obtains and implements veterinary advice on treatment of animals when needed. <br />• Monitors disease management program and ensures compliance with standard <br />operating procedures, <br />Participates in euthanasia program. <br />• Participates in adoption counseling. <br />• Monitors and orders all medical supplies, <br />Office Assistant* <br />• Greets visitors, answers telephones, maintains phone log, coordinates messages <br />to and from Animal Control Officers and others. <br />• Traces IDs, rabies and county licenses of in-coming animals and notifies owners, <br />• Maintains lost and found reports and makes calls to owners. <br />• Schedules adoptions and surgeries; assists with adoption counseling. <br />• Assists in coordinating transportation of animals to clinics, off~site adoption <br />centers and other locations. <br />Shelter Director* <br />• Directs and manages the day-to-day operations of the animal shelter, <br />• Develops recommended policies and procedures and assures that adopted <br />policies and procedures are adhered to in daily work performance. <br />• Hires, trains and supervises employees, <br />Shelter Operations Manager* <br />• Oversees the health care and general conditions for all shelter animals, including <br />cleaning, feeding and medications. <br />• Coordinates and participates in the euthanasia program. <br />• Oversees the ordering of supplies and the security of controlled substances, <br />• Ensures that kennel and cattery policies and procedures and disease <br />management protocols are followed. <br />*Existing APS positions -Major functions summarized from "Scope of Work" listed in <br />APS' current contract. <br />
