V6 <br />RESOLUTION <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, the following resolution was unanimously adopted at <br />the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Orange County on Monday, December 7, 1964. <br />WHEREAS, Honorable Raymond B. Mallard, one of the judges of the Superior Court of North <br />Carolina, has hold several special sessions of court in addition to the regular sessions of Superior <br />Court in Orange County during the current year and has been faced with many and varied intricate <br />questions of law and procedure; and <br />WHEREAS, Raymond B. Mallard, Judge, has presided over the above mentioned sessions of <br />court with dignity, dispatch and fairness, both to the State of North Carolina and to the parties <br />who have appeared in his courts; and <br />WHEREAS, it is recognized by the citizenry of Orange County that Judge Mallard has made an <br />outstanding contribution to the cause of justice and orderly court procedure during his judicial <br />service in this county: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, we, the members of the Board of County Commissioners of Orange County, <br />do hereby commend Judge Raymond B. Mallard for his devotion to his judicial duties and for the learned <br />and impartial manner in which he has conducted the above mentioned courts and for his deep knowledge <br />of humanity as shown by the judgments rendered, all in the highest tradition of the administration <br />of justice in the State of North Carolina. <br />It is ordered that the Clerk to this Board present a copy of this resolution to the Clerk <br />of the Superior Court of Orange County with the request that same be read during the session of court <br />which began on December 14, 1964, and that same be entered as a part of the minutes of said court, <br />with original copy delivered to His Honor, Judge Mallard. <br />.Upon motion of Commissioner Cleveland, seconded by Commissioner Walker,the meeting was <br />adjourned. <br />Harvey D.
