6 <br /> 1 Rhonda Rath said she did not have a definitive answer as to the reason. She said it <br /> 2 seems that the school age population in the county has declined, and it is seen across the state. <br /> 3 Commissioner McKee asked if charter school enrollment has leveled out. <br /> 4 Rhonda Rath said that it is a flat trendline now. <br /> 5 Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked about the CTE program and why it was not included in <br /> 6 the list of programs. <br /> 7 Rhonda Rath said that based upon the information that she has, their CTE programs are <br /> 8 funded at the level to meet the courses they are offering in the schools. She said that the state <br /> 9 has provided sufficient funding for those positions. She said that CTE teacher vacancies are hard <br /> 10 to fill in schools and she does not know the number of vacancies in the classes and that she would <br /> 11 get information on this to Commissioner Portie-Ascott. <br /> 12 Commissioner Fowler expressed appreciation for their efforts in balancing the budget with <br /> 13 student needs first. <br /> 14 Commissioner Hamilton asked how much of their fund balance is undesignated and what <br /> 15 percent of budget expenditures are in the undesignated fund. <br /> 16 Rhonda Rath said that she would send that information to the Board of Commissioners <br /> 17 when the previous fiscal year audit is completed. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 b.
