Advisory Board on Aging —Appointment Discussion <br /> 2 The Board discussed an appointment to the Advisory Board on Aging. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 BACKGROUND: The Advisory Board on Aging suggests policy and makes recommendations to <br /> 5 the Board of Commissioners and the Department on Aging while acting as the liaison between <br /> 6 older adults of the County and County government. Agricultural Preservation Board —Appointment Discussion <br /> 22 The Board discussed an appointment to the Agricultural Preservation Board. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 BACKGROUND: The Agricultural Preservation Board is charged with promoting the economic <br /> 25 and cultural importance of agriculture in the County, and to encourage voluntary preservation and <br /> 26 protection of farmland for future production. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 The Board of County Commissioners appoints all 15 members, including eight (8) At-Large <br /> 29 members, and one (1) member from each of the seven (7)Agricultural Districts in the County. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 The following individual is recommended for Board consideration: <br /> 32 <br /> NAME POSITION TYPE OF EXPIRATION <br /> DESCRIPTION APPOINTMENT DATE <br /> TERM <br /> Sandra Weitzel At-Large First Full Term 06/30/2027 <br /> 33 <br /> 34 If the individual listed above is appointed, no vacancies remain. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Tara May introduced the item. <br /> 37 The Board agreed by consensus on the recommended applicant. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 <br />
