Proposed Sale of 0.2 Acre Property, PIN #9863668236, in Hillsborough <br /> The Board reviewed the offer to purchase a County-owned 0.2-acre property, PIN #9863668263, <br /> in Hillsborough and approved a resolution authorizing the sale of the property through an upset <br /> bid process. <br /> c. Annexation of the Piedmont Food Processing Center (PFPC) Property by the Town of <br /> Hillsborough <br /> The Board approved the submittal of a request that the Town of Hillsborough annex the Piedmont <br /> Food Processing Center property and authorized the Chair to sign the application form. <br /> d. Orange Northern Campus Stormwater Control Measure Access and Maintenance <br /> Easement and Agreement with Town of Hillsborough <br /> The Board: <br /> 1) Approved a Stormwater Control Measure Access and Maintenance Easement and <br /> Agreement with the Town of Hillsborough for the Orange County Northern Campus <br /> Stormwater Control Measures; and <br /> 2) Authorized the Chair to sign the necessary paperwork upon final County Attorney review. <br /> e. Removal of Appointee from the Orange County Parks and Recreation Council <br /> The Board removed an appointee from the Orange County Parks and Recreation Council (PRC). <br /> f. Boards and Commissions —Appointments <br /> The Board approved the Boards and Commissions appointments as reviewed and discussed <br /> during the September 10, 2024 Work Session. <br /> g. Orange County Annual Transit Work Program Reappropriation <br /> The Board approved the reappropriation of Vehicle Rental Tax to the Fiscal Year 2025 Orange <br /> County Annual Transit Work Program (AWP) fund balance. <br /> h. Fee Schedule Changes for Health Department <br /> The Board established and updated fees as recommended by the Board of Health for certain <br /> personal health, dental health and environmental health services to assist in cost recovery. <br /> i. Marketing Communications Management Aqreement with Clean, Inc. <br /> The Board approved a professional services agreement for tourism marketing and advertising <br /> with Clean, Inc. <br /> j. Ratification of County Manager's Execution of a Services Agreement with Sonark <br /> Media, Inc. <br /> The Board will ratified the County Manager's execution of a services agreement between Sonark <br /> Media, Inc and the Orange County Visitors Bureau, in which the Visitors Bureau has provided <br /> sponsorship of ten (10) episodes of"Sonark Sessions: Live from the Barn" on PBS and the North <br /> Carolina Channel. <br /> 9. County Manager's Report <br /> Travis Myren reminded the Board about the meeting with the schools next week. <br /> 10. County Attorney's Report <br /> John Roberts said NCGS 143-318-11 requires that when the Board approves a settlement <br /> agreement in closed session, the terms of the agreement must be reported in open session. He <br /> said the Board considered and approved a settlement in the contested North Carolina Office of <br /> Administrative Hearings case of Kemske v. Orange County Health Department. He said the case <br /> has settled and resulted in a total payment by the county of$54,827.12 in return for a full and final <br /> release of all claims by the Plaintiff. <br />
