Vote to Approve the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 6) and <br /> Zoning Atlas Amendments(Attachment7); <br /> • OR <br /> • Vote to Deny the Zoning Atlas Amendments, including a statement <br /> as to why the application is not reasonable and/or not in the public <br /> interest. <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> open the public hearing. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br /> There was no one signed up to speak. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner McKee, to <br /> close the public hearing. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Chair Bedford said the Planning Board brought up the issue with surveying additional <br /> parcels. <br /> Patrick Mallett said getting ground truth throughout the entire county would be <br /> astronomically expensive. He said the watershed boundaries were made using the best criteria, <br /> means, and data available at the time. He said the good news is that there is better information <br /> available for surveys now as needed for property owners, and the state has a well-defined process <br /> for this now. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> approve the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 6) and Zoning Atlas Amendments <br /> (Attachment 7). <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
