Adult Care Home and Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee — Appointments <br /> 5 Discussion <br /> 6 The Board discussed appointments to the Adult Care Home and Nursing Home Community <br /> 7 Advisory Committee. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 BACKGROUND: The Adult Care Home and Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br /> 10 works to maintain the intent of the Adult Care Home and Nursing Home Residents' Bills of Rights <br /> 11 and promote community involvement and cooperation with these homes to ensure quality care <br /> 12 for older and disabled adults. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 The Board of County Commissioners appoints all fourteen (14) members. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 REMINDER: As of July 1, 2017, House Bill 248 was approved by the North Carolina Legislature <br /> 17 regarding the training period for pending members of the "Adult Care Home Community Advisory <br /> 18 Committee and Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee". Applicants will be selected from <br /> 19 our county "Applicant Interest List" for a condensed training and if the applicant successfully <br /> 20 completes the training, they would be recommended for appointment.
