She said that the <br /> 9 community would not support that. She said that as far as she could recall, the last time it was <br /> 10 done was decades ago to create the Cane Creek water supply, and it created hurt feelings. She <br /> 11 said that her preference is that this not be an option to bring to the community. <br /> 12 Chair Bedford said unless the consultants use it as an extreme example as something <br /> 13 they are not going to do. <br /> 14 Leigh Anne King said there was a lot of community feedback for protecting priority areas, <br /> 15 so they created an alternative that explored doing more conservation. She said everything has <br /> 16 tradeoffs. <br /> 17 Commissioner Richards said she was glad to see it as an alternative. She said she <br /> 18 reviewed the survey results from a previous year and said the number one reason people said <br /> 19 they moved to Orange County was for the open space. She said having that alternative is helpful <br /> 20 for people to understand the implications and tradeoffs from a practical standpoint.
