She said they <br /> 3 landed on a $210,000,000 project with a $40,000,000 investment from Buncombe County. She <br /> 4 said $22,000,000 into affordable housing for around 350 affordable units. and mix of densities. <br /> 5 She said the remaining is for site prep and design work due to the mountainous landscape and <br /> 6 terrain. She said that the DFI goal is to help the elected officials get to a point where they <br /> 7 understand the project and needs well enough to be in a superior position when negotiating with <br /> 8 a development partner. <br /> 9 Commissioner Richards asked about the timeline because the community also needs to <br /> 10 weigh in on changes to the Master Plan. She said it is not just the Board, but also the community <br /> 11 that has an interest and equity in what happens. <br /> 12 Perdita Holtz said they are expecting to continue any community engagement especially <br /> 13 with substantive changes.
