The Grassroots Arts Program utilizes state funding to provide support for nonprofit <br /> organizations and schools conducting arts programming. The Artist Project Grant utilizes county <br /> funding for artist-led community projects. <br /> A total of $29,711 from the Outside Agencies Program was allocated to the OCAC's annual <br /> Grassroots Arts Program to ensure arts agencies were applying for funding through a program <br /> specific to the arts following the best practices set forth by the North Carolina Arts Council. <br /> Statistics regarding this year's grant cycle are noted in the chart below. <br /> FUNDING SOURCES <br /> NC Arts Council Funding: Grassroots Arts Program $ 47,140 <br /> Orange County Funding: Artist Support Grants $ 28,800 <br /> Orange County Funding: Outside Agencies $ 29,711 <br /> OCAC Programs Budget $ 265.32 <br /> Returned FY 2023-24 grant funds $ 200 <br /> TOTAL AVAILABLE FUNDING $106,116.32 <br /> Total dollar amount requests $225,891.32 <br /> Total grants awarded 33, or 51% of applications <br /> Total applications received 65, 62 eligible <br /> Total first-time applicants 21, or 32% of applicants <br />
