Proposed Sale of 0.2 Acre Property, PIN #9863668236, in Hillsborough <br /> 5 The Board reviewed the offer to purchase a County-owned 0.2-acre property, PIN #9863668263, <br /> 6 in Hillsborough and approved a resolution authorizing the sale of the property through an upset <br /> 7 bid process. <br /> 8 c. Annexation of the Piedmont Food Processing Center (PFPC) Property by the Town of <br /> 9 Hillsborough <br /> 10 The Board approved the submittal of a request that the Town of Hillsborough annex the Piedmont <br /> 11 Food Processing Center property and authorized the Chair to sign the application form. <br /> 12 d. Orange Northern Campus Stormwater Control Measure Access and Maintenance <br /> 13 Easement and Agreement with Town of Hillsborough <br /> 14 The Board: <br /> 15 1) Approved a Stormwater Control Measure Access and Maintenance Easement and <br /> 16 Agreement with the Town of Hillsborough for the Orange County Northern Campus <br /> 17 Stormwater Control Measures; and <br /> 18 2) Authorized the Chair to sign the necessary paperwork upon final County Attorney review. <br /> 19 e. Removal of Appointee from the Orange County Parks and Recreation Council <br /> 20 The Board removed an appointee from the Orange County Parks and Recreation Council (PRC). <br /> 21 f. Boards and Commissions —Appointments <br /> 22 The Board approved the Boards and Commissions appointments as reviewed and discussed <br /> 23 during the September 10, 2024 Work Session. <br /> 24 g. Orange County Annual Transit Work Program Reappropriation <br /> 25 The Board approved the reappropriation of Vehicle Rental Tax to the Fiscal Year 2025 Orange <br /> 26 County Annual Transit Work Program (AWP) fund balance. <br /> 27 h. Fee Schedule Changes for Health Department <br /> 28 The Board established and updated fees as recommended by the Board of Health for certain <br /> 29 personal health, dental health and environmental health services to assist in cost recovery. <br /> 30 i. Marketing Communications Management Agreement with Clean, Inc. <br /> 31 The Board approved a professional services agreement for tourism marketing and advertising <br /> 32 with Clean, Inc. <br /> 33 j. Ratification of County Manager's Execution of a Services Agreement with Sonark <br /> 34 Media, Inc. <br /> 35 The Board will ratified the County Manager's execution of a services agreement between Sonark <br /> 36 Media, Inc and the Orange County Visitors Bureau, in which the Visitors Bureau has provided <br /> 37 sponsorship of ten (10) episodes of"Sonark Sessions: Live from the Barn" on PBS and the North <br /> 38 Carolina Channel. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 9. County Manager's Report <br /> 41 Travis Myren reminded the Board about the meeting with the schools next week. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 10. County Attorney's Report <br /> 44 John Roberts said NCGS 143-318-11 requires that when the Board approves a settlement <br /> 45 agreement in closed session, the terms of the agreement must be reported in open session. He <br /> 46 said the Board considered and approved a settlement in the contested North Carolina Office of <br /> 47 Administrative Hearings case of Kemske v. Orange County Health Department. He said the case <br /> 48 has settled and resulted in a total payment by the county of$54,827.12 in return for a full and final <br /> 49 release of all claims by the Plaintiff. <br /> 50 <br /> 51 <br />
