The <br /> 15 funds additionally support a system that enhances the access of residents in the urban and non- <br /> 16 urbanized (rural) areas to health care, shopping, education, employment, public services, and <br /> 17 recreation. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Nishith Trivedi, Transportation Director, reviewed the background information for the item. <br /> 20 Commissioner Portie-Ascott asked what education sites will be accessible. <br /> 21 Nishith Trivedi said it will provide transportation to Durham Tech. <br /> 22 Commissioner Richards asked if staff receives written comments from the public. <br /> 23 Nishith Trivedi said staff has not received any comments. <br /> 24 Commissioner Richards asked about using remaining ARPA money. <br /> 25 Nishith Trivedi said there is a last amount that they are trying to use up. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 A motion was made by Chair Bedford, seconded by Commissioner Richards, to open the <br /> 28 public hearing. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 31 <br /> 32 PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br /> 33 There was no one signed up to speak. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 A motion was made by Chair Bedford, seconded by Vice-Chair Greene, to close the public <br /> 36 hearing. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 39 <br /> 40 A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Chair Bedford, to approve the <br /> 41 5311 Administrative grant application for $206,794 with a local match total of $31,019, the 5310 <br /> 42 Operating grant application for $595,550 with a local match total of $297,775, the ARP Section <br /> 43 5307 Operating application for$315,283 with no local match required; and approve and authorize <br />
