Existing Conditions ORA RANGE TROUNLAY <br /> ANSIT PLAN <br /> region's wealth of colleges and universities, and ensuring transit — Improvements to the Hillsborough Circulator, <br /> service for as many residents as reasonably possible. including expanded hours and a counter-direction <br /> Relevant Findings: loop <br /> ■ The 2012 Interlocal Agreement for Orange County Hillsborough-Durham Midday Connector <br /> distributes transit tax revenues to the three transit — New peak-only fixed route services: a Cedar Grove <br /> agencies: 64%for Chapel Hill Transit, 24%for GoTriangle, <br /> Peak Connector and a White Cross Commuter Service <br /> and 12% for Orange County Public Transportation — Transit amenities in Hillsborough, including a new <br /> ■ Transit tax revenues make up 34% of OCPT's budget, <br /> transit center and park and ride facility <br /> compared to 13% for CHT and 4% for GoTriangle. <br /> ■ Mobility On-Demand Service Expansion is funded through <br /> transit tax revenues. The expansion is slated to be <br /> completed in two phases-2022 and 2024—and will cost <br /> approximately 1.1 M to complete. <br /> ■ In addition to the On-Demand Service Expansion, transit <br /> tax revenues have been slated to fund projects from the <br /> 2012 or 2017 Orange County Transit Plans. For OCPT, <br /> these projects are 15 OCPT bus stop signs, Hillsborough <br /> Park-and-Ride, AVL, and Planning for the new OCPT <br /> Transit Plan. <br /> ■ The revenue generated by the transit tax district is not <br /> enough to fund all projects, so OCPT has a list of seven <br /> identified 'unfunded priorities'. These are identified in the <br /> case of additional funding becoming available so that <br /> there is already a list of potential uses for such funds. <br /> OCPT's unfunded priorities do not include cost estimates. <br /> — Vanpool Subsidy Program <br /> Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates 6-2 <br />
