MINUTES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br /> April 15,2024 <br /> THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MET ON MONDAY: April 15, 2024 at Hillsborough <br /> Commons. <br /> BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MEMBERS PRESENT: Jane Garrett, Ann Wilkerson, and Chris Barnes <br /> GUEST: None. <br /> BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MEMBERS ABSENT: Oscar Fleming and Sally Green. <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Nancy Coston, Social Services Director; Lindsey Shewmaker, Human Services Manager; <br /> Crystal Mitchell, Human Services Manager; Rebekah Rapoza, Budget Officer; and Sharron Hinton, Human <br /> Services Manager <br /> I. Call to Order and Introductions <br /> DSS Chair, Jane Garrett, called the meeting to order at 4:04 pm. <br /> II. Board Comments <br /> None. <br /> III. Public Comments <br /> None. <br /> IV. Agenda Changes <br /> None. <br /> V. Action Items <br /> On a motion by Ann Wilkerson, the Board approved the minutes of March 18, 2024. Chris Barnes <br /> seconded the motion. The motion was carried without dissent. <br /> VI. Items for Discussion and/or Decision <br /> 1. Quarterly Data Dashboard <br /> Lindsey Shewmaker presented third quarter data for FY2023-24. <br /> 2. Medicaid Expansion Update <br /> Lindsey Shewmaker gave an update on expanded Medicaid. There are currently 3,253 Orange <br /> County residents who have enrolled in the new Medicaid program since December 1, 2023. Staff <br /> have done an excellent job managing the enrollment and processing applications. They are <br /> currently working on outreach and education efforts to identify and enroll potentially eligible Orange <br /> County residents. <br /> 3. Foster Home Recruitment Plan <br /> 1 <br />
