MINUTES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES <br /> March 15,2021 <br /> THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MET ON MONDAY: March 15, 2021 virtually. <br /> BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MEMBERS PRESENT: Tamara Dempsey-Tanner, Pat Garavaglia, Earl <br /> McKee and Jane Garrett. <br /> GUEST: Oscar Fleming. <br /> BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MEMBERS ABSENT: None. <br /> STAFF PRESENT: Nancy Coston, Director; Lindsey Shewmaker, Human Services Manager; Sharron Hinton, <br /> Human Services Program Manager; Crystal Mitchell, Human Services Program Manager; and Micah Guindon, <br /> Fiscal Officer. <br /> I. Call to Order and Introductions <br /> DSS Chair, Tamara Dempsey-Tanner, called the meeting to order at 4:03 pm. <br /> II. Board Comments <br /> None. <br /> III. Public Comments <br /> None. <br /> IV. Agenda Changes <br /> None. <br /> V. Action Items <br /> On a motion by Jane Garrett, the Board approved the minutes of January 2021 with one change. Earl <br /> McKee seconded the motion. The motion was carried without dissent. <br /> VI. Items for Discussion and/or Decision <br /> 1. DSS FY2021-22 Budget <br /> Nancy Coston presented the DSS proposed budget for FY2021-22. <br /> Tamara Dempsey-Tanner thanked staff for all their work on the budget. <br /> Earl McKee asked that his appreciation be passed on that the agency had stayed within the <br /> guidelines for the budget. <br /> Jane Garrett commented that she also appreciated all the work of staff to meet measures while <br /> staying within guidelines. <br /> Tamara Dempsey-Tanner moved that the Social Services Board accept the proposed budget as <br /> submitted and forward it on to the County Manager and the Board of County Commissioners for <br /> l <br />
