18 <br /> 1 Basic Review Process: A conventional district rezoning application requires submission of a <br /> 2 detailed area map and other documents, in accordance with Section 2.8.3(A) of the Unified <br /> 3 Development Ordinance (UDO). A site-specific plan is not required for conventional rezoning <br /> 4 applications and conditions cannot be applied to an approval action. The typical cadence for the <br /> 5 review is as follows: <br /> 6 FIRST ACTION — Submission of an application with required supporting documents <br /> 7 by the property owner. <br /> 8 STAFF COMMENT: The applicant submitted an application and documents on <br /> 9 February 13, 2024, Attachment 1. <br /> 10 • SECOND ACTION — Staff holds a Development Advisory Committee Meeting. <br /> 11 STAFF COMMENT: The Development Advisory Committee Meeting was held on <br /> 12 March 21, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., via Microsoft Teams. Comments received from this <br /> 13 review are available in Attachment 4. <br /> 14 • THIRD ACTION — The Planning Board reviews the application at a regular meeting <br /> 15 and makes a recommendation to the BOCC. <br /> 16 STAFF COMMENT. The Planning Board reviewed this application at its regular <br /> 17 meeting on May 1, 2024. <br /> 18 FOURTH ACTION — The BOCC receives the Planning Board and staff <br /> 19 recommendations at an advertised public hearing and makes a decision on the <br /> 20 application. <br /> 21 STAFF COMMENT: The public hearing is scheduled for June 4, 2024. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Public Notification: In accordance with Section 2.8.7 of the UDO, notices of the Public Hearing <br /> 24 were mailed via first class mail to property owners within 1,000 feet of the subject parcel. These <br /> 25 notices were mailed on May 21, 2024, 16 days before the meeting. Staff also posted the subject <br /> 26 parcel with signs on May 21, 2024, 16 days before the meeting. Attachment 3 includes the <br /> 27 notification materials. <br /> 28 Planning Board Recommendation: The Planning Board reviewed the proposed amendments at <br /> 29 its May 1, 2024, regular meeting. At this meeting the Board voted unanimously to recommend <br /> 30 approval of the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 6) and the proposed Ordinance <br /> 31 (Attachment 7). <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Excerpts of the minutes from the meeting, as well as the Board's signed statement of consistency, <br /> 34 are included in Attachment 5.
