FY 2026 Public Hearing Record <br /> PURPOSE: To conduct a public hearing on FY 2026 Transit Grants and approve the applications, <br /> program resolution and local share certification. <br /> BACKGROUND: Each year, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) <br /> Integrated Mobility Division (IMD) accepts requests for capital, operations and administrative <br /> needs for county-operated transit programs. Additionally, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) <br /> through NCDOT-IMD awards discretionary federal resources to states and direct recipients to <br /> replace, rehabilitate and purchase buses and related equipment and to construct bus-related <br /> facilities including technological changes or innovations to modify low or no emission vehicles or <br /> facilities. <br /> Orange County Transportation Services (OCTS) is eligible to make application for administrative, <br /> operating and capital projects funding and seeks, including the Orange County local match, a total <br /> of $1,117,627 in combined federal and state transit project grant funding for FY 2026.
