Most of my career has been focused <br />upon developing educational programming and advocacy work for arts education. My <br />most recent non-profit arts postion as Director of Education for the Durham Arts Council <br />ended in June of 2002. I have directed very small organizations and worked on the <br />management team of very large organizations, I have strong skills in planning and policy <br />development, advocacy and program development. My career has also included work as <br />a contract consultant in grant and program development, and as a program evaluator for <br />the NC Arts Council. I now work for the City of Durham as a Grants writer and <br />administrator for Durham Parks and Recreation, <br />Volunteer Experience: <br />I have served as a Board Member and as Chair of the Board for the NC Alliance for Arts <br />Education, I have served on several advisory committees, most notably on the marketing <br />task force for the John F, Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Educaiton Network KCAAEN <br />(1995). I served on the nominations committee for the KCAAEN from 1993-1996, as <br />chair of the committee in 1995. I have represented arts education on several statewide <br />panels (1994-1998). I currently volunteer with KidSpace Daycare and Preschool of <br />Genesis House in Durham NC and St. Joseph sFoundation/Hayti Heritage Center of <br />Durham, <br />
