He asked if fixing this is part of the pricing. <br /> Patrick Florence of Orange County Schools said the project at New Hope is a two-part <br /> approach. He said the first part includes the fagade and the gutters, and then the roof. <br /> Commissioner McKee said it is critical that the wall not be impregnated with water, and <br /> they will lose the whole building. <br /> Patrick Florence said the bid opening took place earlier in the day for Phase 1, but they <br /> will have to repost because there were only two bids. <br /> Chair Bedford said this is a good example of what would happen if the Board chose to go <br /> project-based for bond funds. She said it points out that staff will have to work on the timing of <br /> bringing items forward. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Fowler, seconded by Commissioner Hamilton, to <br /> approve Budget Amendment #9-A for Orange County Schools to reallocate capital funds from a <br /> variety of existing capital projects to fund roofing work at Orange High, a roof replacement at New <br /> Hope Elementary, and interior renovations at Efland Cheeks Elementary. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 7.
