2 <br /> RES-2024-046 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Sheriffs Office is in possession of surplus duty weapons that are <br /> either no longer needed by or not best suited for the agency; and <br /> WHEREAS,Craig's Firearm Supply and Police Distributors Inc.was founded in 1995 with a mission <br /> to provide the highest quality of protection to the people that need it. Craig's Firearm Supply strives <br /> "to protect those who protect us by supplying them with the finest firearms and supplies available"; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the County and Craig's Firearm Supply wish to make an even exchange of the surplus <br /> duty weapons for merchandise credits; and <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statutes § 160A-271 authorizes the county to make such an <br /> exchange if authorized by the Board of Commissioners by a resolution adopted at a regular meeting <br /> of the board upon at least 10 days'public notice; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County has given the required public notice, and the board is convened in a regular <br /> meeting. <br /> THEREFORE,THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ORANGE COUNTY HEREBY RESOLVES THAT: <br /> 1.The exchange of properties described above is authorized. <br /> 2.
