Planning at UNC-Chapel Hill. As Director, Marcia oversees all aspects of the <br /> Development Finance Initiative (DFI). She also handles business development <br /> for DFI and provides specialized assistance related to community engagement and <br /> communication across all DFI projects. She currently advises North Carolina communities on <br /> projects ranging from the adaptive reuse of a historic downtown hotel to supporting <br /> neighborhood revitalization efforts in areas suffering from blight, vacancy, and disinvestment. <br /> Her professional interests include land banking, affordable housing, creative placemaking, and <br /> asset-based community development.
