She became a Senior Project <br /> Manager in 2023 and has extensive experience managing projects related to <br /> affordable housing, adaptive reuse projects, and downtown revitalization. Prior to working with <br /> DFI, Sonyia served as a fellow with DFI, a fellow with The Center for Community Capital, and <br /> worked with the North Carolina Community Development Initiative (NCinitiative.org) on disaster <br /> relief efforts in Eastern North Carolina. Eric is also assisting in the <br /> conceptual design, program definition, development budget, cost estimation <br /> and site analysis on DFI projects. Prior to graduate school, Eric worked as a <br /> community planner within Washington DC's Office of Capital Projects and <br /> Planning and was involved in the District's first public-private partnership <br /> dedicated to the creation of public open space.
