Animal Services Manager <br />• Duties Lrclude: <br />o Records management <br />o Answer phones and monitor voice mail, return calls and keep phone log records, <br />coordinate messages to and from animal control officers <br />o Receive, check for completeness, and enter all log sheets into tracking system <br />Run daily shelter report <br />o Retrieve disposition log sheets, check for accuracy, prepare county reports and <br />file <br />o Trace IDs, rabies and county licenses of in-coming animals and notifies owners <br />o Log-in animals and prepare ID cards <br />o Scheduling ttont desk stat~and ensuring relief for breaks and lunch <br />o Al] paperwork relating to foster care, and off-site adoptions, including daily <br />updating of log sheets <br />o Cash register and for security of all monies received <br />o Scheduling of adoptions and surgeries <br />o Assist in coordinating transportation of animals to spay/neuter clinic,, off-site <br />adoption centers, and other locations <br />o Responsible for review by booldceeper of all cash register receipts to be <br />performed on a daily basis <br />o Ensuring adoption packages are organized and readily available For use <br />o Handles special problems with citizens and reports problems to Customer <br />Relations Manager <br />Additional Managerial Duties: <br />o Assist Shelter Operations Manager with overall day-to-day operations of the <br />shelter, report perceived problems to Managers <br />o Take responsibility for operational knowledge and conformity to federal, state, <br />and local animal laws as well as to APS policies <br />o Participate in euthanasia program including selection when Shelter Operations <br />Manger is unavailable <br />o Alternating days with other managers for security lockup at the end of the day <br />o Assists in other duties as assigned <br />• Sltills and IJxperience Requirements: <br />o College Degree or four years equivalent experience <br />o Administrative and supervisory experience <br />o Strong background in office management and customer service <br />o Understanding and implementation of all APS policies and protocols <br />
