The Planning Board will review this application at its regular <br /> meeting on August 7, 2024. <br /> • THIRD ACTION — The BOCC receives the Planning Board and staff recommendations <br /> at an advertised public hearing and makes a decision on the application. <br /> STAFF COMMENT. The public hearing will be scheduled following the issuance of <br /> a recommendation from the Planning Board. <br /> Public Notification: In accordance with Section 2.8.7 of the UDO, notices of the Planning Board <br /> meeting were mailed via first class mail to property owners within 1,000 ft. of the subject parcel. <br /> These notices were mailed on July 24, 2024, 14 days before the meeting. Staff also posted the <br /> subject parcel with signs on July 24, 2024, 14 days before the meeting. See Attachment 3 for the <br /> notification materials. <br /> Planning Director's Recommendation: The Planning Director recommends approval of the <br /> Statement of Consistency, indicating the amendments are reasonable and in the public interest, <br /> contained in Attachment 5 and the proposed Zoning Atlas Amendment Ordinance contained in <br /> Attachment 6. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: This request has been reviewed by various County departments who have <br /> determined that the approval of the request would not create the need for additional funding for <br /> the provision of County services. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Director recommends the Board: <br /> 1. Receive the rezoning application, <br /> 2. Deliberate on the proposal as desired, <br /> 3. Consider the Planning Director's recommendation, and <br /> 4. Make a recommendation to the BOCC on the Statement of Consistency (Attachment 5) <br /> and the proposed ordinance (Attachment 6) for BOCC consideration during a public <br /> hearing to be conducted for review of this request. <br />
