Orange County West Campus Office Building -HVAC <br />PDC Project 23020 BAS DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROL <br />SYSTEM 23 09 02 - 7 <br />1.Power monitors shall be the three-phase type furnished with three-phase disconnect/shorting <br />switch assembly,UL Listed voltage transformers,and UL Listed split-core current <br />transformers. <br />2.They shall provide a selectable rate pulse output for kWh reading and a 4 to 20 mA output for <br />kW reading.They shall operate with 5 A current inputs with a maximum error of ±2%at 1.0 <br />power factor or ±2.5%at 0.5 power factor. <br />K.Current switches <br />1.Current-operated switches shall be self-powered,solid-state with adjustable trip current.The <br />switches shall be selected to match the current of the application and output requirements of <br />the DDC system. <br />L.Pressure-electric (pe)switches <br />1.Shall be metal or neoprene diaphragm actuated,operating pressure rated 0-175 kPa (0-25 <br />psig),with calibrated scale set point range of 14-125 kPa (2-18 psig)minimum,UL listed. <br />2.Provide one or two-stage switch action SPDT,DPST,or DPDT,as required by application. <br />Electrically rated for pilot duty service (125 VA minimum)and/or for motor control. <br />3.Shall be open type (panel-mounted)or enclosed type for remote installation.Enclosed type <br />shall be NEMA 1 unless otherwise specified. <br />4.Shall have a permanent indicating gauge on each pneumatic signal line to PE switches. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.01 PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br />A.Provide a designated project manager who will be responsible for the following <br />1.Construct and maintain project schedule <br />2.On-site coordination with all applicable trades,subcontractors,and other integration vendors <br />3.Authorized to accept and execute orders or instructions from owner/architect <br />4.Attend project meetings as necessary to avoid conflicts and delays <br />5.Make necessary field decisions relation to this scope of work <br />6.Coordination/Single point of contact <br />3.02 EXAMINATION: <br />A.The project plans shall be thoroughly examined for control device and equipment locations.Any <br />discrepancies,conflicts,or omissions shall be reported to the architect/engineer for resolution <br />before rough-in work is started. <br />B.The contractor shall inspect the site to verify that equipment may be installed as shown.Any <br />discrepancies,conflicts,or omissions shall be reported to the engineer for resolution before rough- <br />in work is started. <br />C.The contractor shall examine the drawings and specifications for other parts of the work.If head <br />room or space conditions appear inadequate-or if any discrepancies occur between the plans and <br />the contractor’s work and the plans and the work of others-the contractor shall report these <br />discrepancies to the engineer and shall obtain written instructions for any changes necessary to <br />accommodate the contractor’s work with the work of others. <br />3.03 PROTECTION <br />A.The contractor shall protect all work and material from damage by its employees and/or <br />subcontractors and shall be liable for all damage thus caused. <br />B.The contractor shall be responsible for its work and equipment until finally inspected,tested,and <br />accepted. <br />3.04 COORDINATION <br />A.Site <br />1.The project coordination between trades is the responsibility of the prime contractor who is <br />the one tier higher contractual partner such as mechanical contractor,general contractor, <br />construction manager,owner or owner’s representative as applicable. <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 8DED1454-68D2-4E36-9FC6-E56FF2124E5D
