Orange County West Campus Office Building -HVAC <br />PDC Project 23020 HVAC GENERAL PROVISIONS 23 01 00 - 3 <br />C.Within ten days after notification of the award of the Contract and written notice to begin work,the <br />Contractor shall submit to the Architect/Engineer for approval a detailed list of equipment and <br />material which he proposes to use. Items requiring submittal data for approval will be noted at this <br />time. <br />D.Mark general catalog sheets and drawings to indicate specific items submitted and their correlation <br />to specific tagged equipment on the drawings.Cross out all nonapplicable or extraneous <br />information that does not apply to the submitted equipment.Circle or otherwise clearly indicate <br />applicable options. <br />E.Contractor shall clearly indicate deviations (if any)from the project specifications on each <br />submittal.Shop drawings accepted by the Engineer shall not relieve the Contractor of their <br />responsibility to construct the work in accordance with the Contract Documents. <br />F.Include proper identification of equipment or item by name and/or number,as indicated on the <br />Drawings. <br />G.Where manufacturer's reference numbers differ from those specified,clearly indicate such on the <br />submittal. <br />H.Where equipment or items specified include accessories,parts,and additional items under one <br />designation,submittals shall be complete and include all required components. <br />I.Equipment requiring electrical connections shall include composite wiring diagrams,motor <br />efficiency,and power factor data.Wiring diagrams submitted shall be specific to project conditions. <br />J.Where submittals cover products containing non-metallic materials,include MSDS sheets from the <br />manufacturer stating physical and chemical properties of components and precautionary steps to <br />be taken. <br />K.The Contractor shall provide an electronic PDF copy of submittal data. The pdf shall contain <br />complete submittal data on all products,methods,etc.proposed for use on the project. <br />L.Each submittal shall bear the approval of the Contractor indicating that he has reviewed the data <br />and found it to meet the requirements of the specifications as well as space limitations and other <br />project conditions. The submittals shall be clearly identified showing project name,manufacturer's <br />catalog number,and all necessary performance and fabrication data. <br />M.The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer a set of accurately marked up plans indicating all <br />changes encountered during the construction. Final payment will be contingent on receipt of these <br />as-built plans. <br />N.The Contractor shall furnish an electronic PDF copy of maintenance and operating instructions as <br />outlined in Paragraph C (Execution),of this specification section. <br />O.The Contractor shall submit to the Owner all certificates required for operating system in <br />compliance with local,state and federal regulations. <br />1.06 PRODUCT DELIVERY,STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A.All material and equipment shall be delivered and unloaded by the Contractor within the project <br />site as noted herein or as directed by the Owner. <br />B.The Contractor shall protect all material and equipment from breakage,theft,or weather damage. <br /> No material or equipment shall be stored on the ground. <br />C.The material and equipment shall remain the property of the Contractor until the project has been <br />completed and turned over to the Owner. <br />1.07 WORK CONDITIONS AND COORDINATION <br />A.The Contractor shall review the electrical plans to establish points of connection and the extent of <br />electrical work to be provided in his Contract.
