Description of Work <br />Monthly - Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, & Exit Signs- Quick Test & <br />Inspection Total Cost Per Year (Excluding Repairs) Amended January 2nd, 2024. <br />IMPACT Fire Services proposes to perform the monthly quick test & inspections of the emergency/exit lights. Qualified technicians will <br />conduct a monthly quick test & inspection in accordance with Life Safety Code 101, NFPA 70, and the manufacturer's guidelines. <br />All services are performed by qualified personnel during normal work hours Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (excluding <br />holidays), unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. No replacement parts are included. Additional units to be added are not included <br />and may require a licensed electrician to complete wiring from the junction box to the outlet. <br />While we will do our best to provide a consistent supply of goods and services, recent events nationally have created unprecedented <br />delays and price increases. "Due to prior COVID issues, raw goods, demand, and unexplained ongoing manufacturing & productions of <br />raw materials, Impact Fire Service reserve the right to increase prices without verbal or written advanced notice." <br />Monthly Fire Extinguisher Inspections <br />Impact Fire Services is pleased to provide pricing for the monthly inspection of your hand portable fire extinguishers. This proposal <br />includes the costs to perform the monthly inspections in accordance with NFPA 10 and other life safety codes on the agreed-upon date <br />and at least monthly thereafter. We will use all reasonable efforts to locate all extinguishers requiring inspection. <br />Inspection Procedure <br />1. Verify proper placement <br />2. Check for obstructions and visibility of the extinguisher <br />3. Check gauge for adequate pressure <br />4. Weigh or heft the extinguisher for proper content weight <br />5. Inspect for external damage <br />6. Verify the extinguisher has a current inspection tag and tamper seal <br />Current NFPA 10- 7.2.1.2 currently requires," Fire extinguishers and class D extinguishing agents shall be inspected either manually or by <br />means of an electronic monitoring device/system at intervals not exceeding 31 days." as well as 7.3.2 requires, Annual External <br />Examination of All Extinguishers. Additionally, NFPA 10- 7.2.1.3- Requires daily & weekly manual inspections when conditions exist that <br />indicate the need for more frequent inspections. <br />Current OSHA [29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2), employers must perform a visual inspection on portable fire extinguishers at least** once per <br />month**. Monthly fire extinguishers inspections are not included unless otherwise stated below. <br />This proposal would not include annual maintenance services, internal examinations, hydrostatic testing, recharges, or other costs <br />caused by damaged or missing equipment.
