<br /> <br />Orange County <br />Facility Use License Agreement <br /> <br />This agreement by and between Orange County (“Owner/Licensor”) and Triangle Disability Awareness <br />Council (“User/Licensee”) will take effect on June 1st, 2024, and shall be on a month‐to‐month basis at <br />the sole discretion of the Owner/Licensor. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Owner owns the Southern Human Services Center Complex located 2501 Homestead <br />Road, Chapel Hill, NC at which is normally used for providing human services support to the resident of <br />Orange County, NC, and <br /> WHEREAS, the User desires to use the area of the facilities for the purpose of disability <br />awareness advocacy, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Owner has agreed to allow User to use the facilities provided the following terms <br />and conditions are met. <br /> <br />IT IS THEREFORE AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES: <br />1. Term. The owner agrees to let the User use the above‐described premises for the above‐described <br />purpose starting on June 1st, 2024, and shall run a month‐to‐month basis until canceled by the Owner <br />or the User. <br />2. Non‐Fee Agreement. In consideration for the benefit of using the Owner’s facilities, the User agrees <br />to abide by all the terms and conditions of use described in this agreement. <br />3. Lawful Purpose. The user agrees not to use the premises for unlawful purposes and will obey all laws, <br />rules, and regulations of all governmental authorities while using the above‐described facilities. <br />4. Rules. The user agrees to abide by any rules or regulations for using the premises attached to this <br />agreement. <br />5. Point of Contact. Asset Management Services shall act as the Owner’s point of contact regarding this <br />agreement and should be contacted by the User to coordinate usage details. <br /> <br />6. Screening and Supervision. User agrees that it is solely responsible for implementing appropriate <br />screening and supervision procedures to protect children, youth, and vulnerable adults who may have <br />reason to visit the above described facilities. <br />7. Insurance. Licensee shall procure and maintain insurance against claims for injuries to persons or <br />damages to property that may arise from or in connection with the User/Licensee’s operation and use of <br />the leased premises for the duration of the agreement.
