<br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Cy Stober, AICP – Director, Planning & Inspections Department <br />FROM: Victoria Hudson – Orange County Environmental Health Division <br />CC: Patrick Mallett – Deputy Director Development Services <br />DATE: May 22, 2024 <br />CASE: SUB24-0009 <br />PIN: 0801-13-1208 <br />WATERSHED: Jordan Lake <br />PROJECT: Revised SUP— Childcare Center Expansion <br />SUBJECT: Summary of Plan Review by Orange County Environmental <br />Health Division <br /> <br /> <br />This memo summarizes the summarizes the findings of an Orange County <br />Environmental Health plan review of the application for a revised Special Use Permit <br />plan, submitted as the “Erwing Road Montessori” project (hereafter, the “project”). <br />The project is located on 5.48 acres of property at 735 Erwin Rd, Durham. The <br />request proposes development consisting of: <br />• Major modification to original SUP (approved by the BOCC as a Class <br />A SUP on November 11, 2002) to increase the cap of 23 students and <br />4 faculty to a maximum of 46 students and 10 faculty. <br />The Staff comments contained herein are based upon the submittal of a required Site <br />Plan, dated April 12, 2024, and posted for review on April 15, 2024. These findings <br />should not be interpreted as the Division’s final analysis/approval of the proposed <br />development. Soil and site evaluations have not been conducted by the Orange <br />County Health Department, Environmental Health Division. <br /> <br /> <br />159
