Only an attorney can perform <br />certain functions essential tc the program, There is no change in the contract from 2003-2004, <br />The hourly rate of $90 remains unchanged and 66 percent of the hourly charges are <br />reimbursed through Federal Financial Participation (FFP), The contract also contains a charge <br />of $300 per month for the work of a legal assistant who manages court-related administrative <br />duties. <br />The firm provides representation for an average of 150 cases per month. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The 2004-2005 budget request is $45,000. The County's cost after <br />Federal Financial Participation (FFP) will be $14,850. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the contract and <br />authorize the Chair to sign. <br />
