SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT : The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item : <br /> • GOAL : CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents , childhood and senior injuries , <br /> gang activity , substance abuse and domestic violence . <br /> Visitors Bureau <br /> 2 . The Orange County Visitors Bureau has received $ 10 , 000 from the Town of Carrboro to <br /> help pay for trolley rental at the 2024 Manchester City v . Celtic FC match this summer . This <br /> amendment provides for the receipt of these funds in the Visitors Bureau Fund , outside of <br /> the General Fund . <br /> 3 . The Orange County Visitors Bureau fund requests to appropriate an additional $ 200 , 000 <br /> from fund balance to provide for a projected overspend in full time staffing costs . This will <br /> ensure the fund can cover all staffing costs within budget . <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT : There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with these items . <br /> Solid Waste <br /> 4 . The Solid Waste Department has contracted with Gershman , Brickner & Bratton , Inc . <br /> (" GBB " ) for the completion of the Path to Zero Waste Plan that would move the County <br /> toward "Zero Waste " by 2045 . To implement the plan as directed by the BOCC in January <br /> 2024 , $ 557000 is needed for additional tasks and presentation of the Path to Zero Waste <br /> Plan .
