In considering how to fill the vacancy, the Board of <br /> Commissioners determined to appoint current Deputy County Manager Travis Myren as County <br /> Manager. <br /> Some key terms of the employment agreement: <br /> • $252,000 annual salary <br /> • $4,800 annual auto allowance <br /> • Health, life, dental, vision insurance similar to other County employees <br /> • Retiree health insurance similar to other County employees should employee retire from <br /> Orange County <br /> • Annual Leave accrual at the same rate as an employee with 20 years' employment <br /> • Five months' salary as severance should employee be terminated without cause <br /> • $85 monthly cell phone stipend <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: As detailed above, $252,000 salary, $4,800 auto allowance, and <br /> approximately $24,000 in benefit costs annually. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated <br /> with this appointment. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this appointment. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Chair recommends the Board appoint Travis Myren to the office <br /> of County Manager effective July 17, 2024 at 5.00 p.m., and authorize the Chair to execute the <br /> employment agreement. <br />
