8 <br /> Unallocated $0 $0 $0 <br /> Total $10,000,000 $0 $10,000,000 <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br /> or economic status. <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There are no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impacts associated with these items other than as noted otherwise above. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. This <br /> budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds in FY 2023-24 and increases <br /> the authorization of the General Fund by $239,646, the Multi-Year Grant Fund by $162,837, the <br /> Health and Dental Fund by $1,500,000, the Housing Choice Voucher Fund by $250,000, the <br /> Visitors Bureau Fund by $210,000, the School Capital Fund by $173,646, the Debt Service Fund <br /> by $360,000, the Solid Waste Operational Fund by $55,000, the Solid Waste Enterprise Fund by <br /> $55,000, the Sportsplex Operational Fund by $1,000,000, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools <br /> District Tax Fund by$500,000, and the Orange Person Chatham Retiree Health Fund by $11,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the budget, grant, and <br /> capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year 2023-24. <br />
