Year-to-Date Budget Kirk Vaughn, (919) 245-2153 <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for Fiscal Year <br /> 2023-24. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Emergency Services <br /> 1. Orange County Emergency Services has received additional grant funds totaling $107,168 <br /> from the N.C. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety related to the Emergency <br /> Management Performance Grant awards. The department plans to use these funds to <br /> assist in maintaining the comprehensive Emergency Management Program. Specifically, <br /> these funds will go towards contract services to revise the Orange County Emergency <br /> Operations Plan, training and education to support of emergency management and <br /> response personnel, and equipment acquisition to address response gaps.
