2 <br /> Orange County Asset Management Services negotiated the contract with Brady Services, Inc. for <br /> $405,485. <br /> The Passmore Center will remain open to the public during the project. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Construction Contract Agreement to complete the HVAC replacement <br /> at the Passmore Center is $405,485. The Board previously approved funding for this purpose <br /> within the FY 2023-2024 Capital Investment Plan. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable to <br /> this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION AND <br /> INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or color; <br /> religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national origin or ethnic <br /> background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential or economic status. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: The following Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impacts are applicable to this item: <br /> • ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND WASTE REDUCTION <br /> Initiate policies and programs that: 1) conserve energy; 2) reduce resource consumption; <br /> 3) increase the use of recycled and renewable resources; and 4) minimize waste stream <br /> impacts on the environment. <br /> • ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERABLE PURCHASING <br /> Promote the use of chemicals, materials, equipment, and systems which are officially <br /> recognized as to minimize environmental impacts. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board: <br /> 1) Approve the County entering into a construction contract with Brady Services, Inc. for the <br /> construction of the Passmore Center HVAC Replacement; and <br /> 2) Authorize the County Manager to execute the Agreement, subject to final review by the <br /> County Attorney, and any subsequent amendments for contingent and unforeseen <br /> requirements up to the approved budget amount on behalf of the Board. <br />
