DocuSign Envelope ID: E5E3F6C3-1140-45DC-9E04-D9C3A4A5DE3A <br /> 62 <br /> ITEM It 2023 12 4 AGENDA ITEM# <br /> RESOLUTION# 949-oJ <br /> BOOK&PAGE# <br /> COUNCIL SIGNATURE <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT#I IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $750,000 WITH NC DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR U-5842 ELM-PISGAH <br /> CHURCH INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS,project U-5842 will construct intersection improvements at the intersection of <br /> North.Elm Street and Pisgah Church Road in Greensboro; <br /> WHEREAS,the project was selected for funding by NCDOT in 2015 after Transportation <br /> Advisory Committee submittal; <br /> WHEREAS,the project was put on hold to better assess future traffic needs and patterns <br /> following the opening of the Urban Loop, <br /> WHEREAS, it has since been determined that the project is necessary and the City will <br /> implement the project with NCDOT reimbursing 80%of costs; <br /> WHEREAS, Supplemental Agreement 41 provides sufficient funding to cover estimated design <br /> costs and specifies terms the City will have to comply with in order to obtain reimbursement; <br /> WHEREAS, a future supplemental agreement will provide additional funding to support the <br /> right of way and construction phase; and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> GREENSBORO: <br /> That said supplemental agreement is hereby approved by the City Council of the City of <br /> Greensboro and the City Manager is hereby empowered to sign and execute Supplemental <br /> Agreement#I with the NCDOT for U-5842 Elm-Pisgah Church Intersection Improvements. <br /> THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED <br /> BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> GREENSBORO ON THE 17th DAY <br /> OF OCTOBER 2023.
