<br />The Board will consider a proclamation to recognize 11i1ay 2 through 8, 2004 as Drinking Water Week in <br />Orange County and encourage participation in the Orange t~'ater and Sewer Authority's (OWASA) "Taste of <br />Hope" Customer Assistance Program and authorize the Chair to sign. <br />Special Presentations (8:3~-9:00) <br />a. Carrboro Library ~Varkgroup Report <br />The Board will receive the final report from the Carrboro Library Workgroup. <br />b. Proposed Orange Comity "Air Quality Response" <br />The Board will receive a presentation on a proposed "Air Quality Response", outlining a series of initiatives <br />unden~~ay and/or proposed to address current and upcoming air quality issues in the County. <br />8. Public Hearings <br />9. Items for Decision--Regular Agenda <br />a. Authorize Action Steps for the Transition of the Oz ~ange County Animal Shelter Operation (9:00- <br />99_4 <br />The Board will receive follow up information as requested by the BOCC at its April 1 work session and to <br />authorize actions needed to implement the transition of the Orange County Animal Shelter by July 1, 2004. <br />b. Annual Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plan -Section 8 Housing Program (9:40-9:55) <br />The Board will consider submission of the Annual Public Housing Agency Plan for the Orange County <br />Housing Authority and authorize the Chair to sign the Certification of Compliance/Board Resolution. <br />c. Staff Analysis of Proposed Addendum B to the Interlocal Agreement on CHCCS High School #3 <br />(9:55-10:10) <br />The Board will discuss a requested staff analysis of a proposed addendum to the interlocal agreement that <br />became effective on August 7, 2443 regarding the planned third Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools <br />(CHCCS) high school and provide appropriate direction to staff. <br />d. Schools Adequate Public Facilities Ordviance (SAPFO) -Technical Advisoi-~~ Committee Annual <br />Report (10:10-10:25) <br />The Board will receive a preliminary report on the student membership and capacity of the Orange County <br />Schools (OCS) and Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) as of November 15, 2003 and on related <br />issues as outlined in the draft Annual Report of the SAPFO Technical _4dvisory Committee (SAPFOTAC); <br />pose any questions needing further staff analysis prior to the Board's approval of membership and capacity <br />figures at a future BOCC meeting; and provide any appropriate direction to staff. <br />e. Appointments {10:25-10:30) <br />(1) Arts Commission <br />The Board «-•ill consider one appointment to the Arts Commission. <br />(2) Carrboro NTA (Northern Ti ~ansition Area) Ad~4sory Committee <br />The Board will consider one appointment to the Carrboro NTA (Northern Transition Area) Advisory <br />Committee. <br />(3) Carrboro Planning Board <br />The Board will consider one appointment to the Carrboro Planning Board. <br />(4) Commission for Women <br />The Board will consider appointments to the Commission for V4TOmen (CFW). <br />(5) Human Services Ad«sory Commssion <br />The Board jvill consider appointments to the Human Ser~~ices Advisory Commission (HSAC). <br />April 1 b, 2004 <br />1:27 FM <br />
