Additionally, I am an active parent within the OCS system. My lens as a <br /> community member and parent, coupled with my years of K-12 experience afford me with <br /> knowledge to make informed decisions that best serve everyone, most importantly the children <br /> of Orange County. <br /> Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board <br /> I'd like the opportunity to serve on this board as a vein to share in my responsibility as a citizen <br /> and community member of Orange County. It is up to us as individuals to collectively sustain our <br /> community, our schools, our future. <br /> How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? <br /> As a black woman, I represent the racial minority in Orange County. That in and of itself provides <br /> a much needed voice and diverse perspective. I am able to see things in a manner in which <br /> others may not, offering the opportunity for everyone to be fairly seen, heard and represented. <br /> Ultimately, everyone would benefit from diverse perspectives.
