Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough NC 27278 <br />Deaz Chair Jacobs: <br />Subject: Board Appointment <br />The Orange County Commission for Women has reviewed all current applicants for <br />membership in the Commission for Women and recommends Khan C. Easwazachandran <br />for the Chapel Hill (06-30-OS) position. <br />Ms. Easwazachandran is a resident of Chapel Hill Township., <br />The criteria for this position aze that the applicant be a resident of Orange County, show <br />an active interest in advocating for women, improving the quality oflife for women in <br />Orange County, and a willingness and ability to attend the Commission's meetings and <br />participate in its projects. <br />Tn addition, the Commission for Women is committed to increasing the diversity of <br />Commission members and committed to preserving a geographical balance of <br />representation whenever possible. <br />Ms. Easwarachandran's professional experience as Director of Client Services at the <br />Orange County Rape Crisis Center will bring valuable community contacts to our <br />Commission, Her degree in Social Work and Women's Studies and her extensive work <br />history show a commitment to advocating for women.
