My graduate degree is <br /> in Public Health Education and much of my coursework focused on adult learning principles- <br /> how to assess where people are and how to best reach them based on that information. I then <br /> worked in clinical research at UNC Hospitals for a decade where one of my primary job functions <br /> was to help research trial participants decipher& understand complex medical information. I <br /> currently teach the Clinical Research Site Management course at Durham Tech's Clinical Trials <br /> Research Associate Program -where I work with adult learners from a wide variety of <br /> backgrounds, educational levels, and understanding. <br /> My role as a publisher for Macaroni KID, a hyperlocal website for parents featuring family-friendly <br /> events & businesses, means that I am already involved in parent-centric spaces around the area <br /> as well.
