I have a master's in education, teaching
experience, and have been a parent in Orange County Schools for 8 years. For the past 8 years
I have worked in content marketing where I have developed skills in communicating complex
messaging in understandable ways through a variety of digital channels.
Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board
As a parent in this district and a strong proponent of public education, I want to see this Bond
issue pass in our community. Strong schools make strong communities. As a resident of the
Efland Community I have seen how over-crowding has negatively impacted Efland Cheeks
Elementary. As a former HES parent I've seen the disrepair and facility needs at that school.
Even as a Gravelly Hill parent, I've seen where even one of the newest buildings in the district
needs some work to make sure the school lasts for many years to come.
How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints?
