I have a basic knowledge of
bonds, finance and pricing. I am comfortable working with numbers and have served in other
volunteer activities that utilize my financial background.
Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board
My kids have all gone through the CHCCS school district. The physical space of many of the
schools need repair or renovation. Beyond unsightly or uncomfortable workspaces, these items
can pose safety issues - mold growing in hallways that flood, electrical systems that cannot
support new technology. Schools should be places that are pleasant for students and staff. I
want to make sure that we can get the funds to invest in something that is important for our
future.
How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints?
All my children have gone through the CHCCS school district. My youngest will graduate in a few
years and will probably not benefit from this bond. I think that I can provide a perspective as a
parent and as a community member that doesn t have any children in the school district. I think
good schools benefit everyone in the community, even if they don t have any child that s going
through the school system right now.
